The Imperial Cabernet Sauvignon 6L wine by the Di Giorgio Family is an exceptional vintage. This Imperial Cabernet Sauvignon wine is showing both approachable fruit character now and the potential for cellaring through the presence of mature tannins and good acidity. The DiGiorgio Family Wines Lucindale vineyard produces distinctive minty and eucalypt characters in Cabernet Sauvignon and as the vineyard matures, excellent concentration and complexity.

This 2005 Imperial Cabernet Sauvignon 6L wine by the Di Giorgio Family is a very regional depiction of Cabernet with its lifted currant, cassis and cedar aromas leading to a medium to full bodied palate with lots of dark fruit and cedary oak, long, firm tannin length and terrific texture.

The 2019 Morambro Creek Shiraz wine has a deep inky black & purple in colour. The nose is perfumed with lifted mint, blueberry, vanilla and spice with a touch of liquorice and white pepper in the background. This Morambro Creek Shiraz wine has an expansive palate, smooth lush ripe blue-black fruits, nicely balanced oak, plenty of concentration with a long finish.

The Morambro Creek wine is synonymous with premium wines from South Australia’s Padthaway wine region being awarded numerous medals in International and Australian Wine shows in recent years. The vineyards at Padthaway are in some of the world’s oldest mineral rich soils and in the most temperate of maritime climates. The Morambro Creek vineyard consistently produces excellent fruit quality from low yielding vines.

The 2022 Dolcetto Rose wine by the Di Giorgio Family has a pale pink with salmon hues and lovely fragrant bouquet of delicate rose petals and juicy red apple. This Dolcetto Rose wine has a crisp palate of apple, cherries and pomegranate give a fresh, savoury finish.

Dolcetto is a red wine grape variety grown widely in the country where the DiGiorgio family has it’s origins. Known for their black cherry and licorice characters it works wonderfully as a Rosé style of wine.

This Dolcetto Rose forms part of the Di Giorgio Family Wines Renaissance range. The family sources specific varietal fruit from different areas of the Limestone Coast where they believe the terroir is best suited to the variety. These wines are a selection of varieties specially chosen to demonstrate the versatility of the region and the passion and ambition of our winemakers.

This 2022 Dolcetto Rose wine will pair beautifully with anything from seafood to lamb.

The 2022 Chain of Ponds Black Thursday Sauvignon Blanc wine is intensely aromatic gooseberry, lychee and paw paw with lifted hints of grapefruit, all integrated with subtle passion fruit, lemon citrus and nuances of peashoots and cucumber. On the palate this Sauvignon Blanc wine is lively and vibrant with intense fruit, balanced acidity and a voluptuous mouthfeel of subtle fruit sweetness.

This Chain of Ponds Black Thursday Sauvignon Blanc wine is best paired with Fresh seafood, Vietnamese Chicken Salad or equally suited to a lazy afternoon in the sun. For a more peculiar pairing try our suggestion of nachos, poké bowl, chicken sandwiches or chicken nuggets.

The 2021 Chain of Ponds Corkscrew Road Chardonnay wine has an elegant nose displaying lifted primary fruits of peach, grapefruit, rock melon, nectarine and fig with secondary characters of subtle spicy oak and baked brioche. On the palate this Chardonnay wine displays balanced linear acidity and exceptional fruit length with balanced oak and a subtle creaminess on the finish.

This Chain of Ponds Corkscrew Road Chardonnay wine is best with Scallops with sweetcorn purée and pancetta crumb. For a more peculiar pairing try our suggestion of Mac & Cheese, peanut butter toast, Anzac biscuits, buttered popcorn or Hot Cross Buns.

The 2020 Chain of Ponds Graves Gate Shiraz wine has the aromas of redcurrant, fresh raspberries and black olive balanced by plums, hints of mulberry and cedary spice. Lifted sweet notes of vanilla and cashews. The Shiraz has a deep cherry red with slight purple/plum hue. The palate is rich and lively displaying primary red fruits with hints of white pepper and blueberry along with good savoury supporting oak. This Graves Gate Shiraz wine is lively acid and slightly chalky tannins give savoury and textural length to the palate.

The 2021 Chain of Ponds Pilot Block Chardonnay wine has a pale straw with a green hues. The nose shows lifted floral and citrus notes with integrated peach, fig, nectarine and fresh green apple. The fruit is integrated with savoury spicy oak and a hint of vanilla. On the palate there is intense stone fruit characters of roasted peach, fresh nectarine with integrated fig and citrus notes. This Pilot Block Chardonnay wine has a savoury oak rounds out the palate with a slight textural edge balancing the creamy soft finish.

The Chain of Ponds Pilot Block Shiraz 2019 has a dark Cherry Red with brick red hue. Intense dark cherry fruits, rhubarb nuances and chocolate on the nose. Dark cherry, chocolate and red stone fruits on the palate. A well balanced acid structure supports the wine while complementing the interesting and persistent sour cherry and fruitcake finish.

The 2018 Chain of Ponds The Cachet Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot wine has a deep cherry red with deep red hue. Intensely complex nose showing dark red fruits, plum, balanced spice of cloves with nuances of smoke, hints of menthol and tobacco. The Charles Melton Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 has a wonderfully complex cigary sweet lift on the nose, whilst the amalgam of dark fruits holds your interest with a myriad of complementary notes. The attack into the mouth gives an extraordinary sweet plushness with great dark fruits/chicory flavours supported by a fleshy mid palate sweetness that lingers.

The 2017 Charles Melton Father In Law is a delicious Barossa Shiraz, a real fruit driven style which will appeal to lovers of big “ballsie” reds. Perfect for the next family gathering. Sweet spicy almost Christmas plum pudding scent, rich and warm. Full but not overly big, showing the typical bit of Clare Valley linear structure in contrast to the Father in Law’s, shall we say, less linear profile.

The 2017 Charles Melton Grains of Paradise Shiraz has a wonderful expression of the traditional Barossa style. Deep in colour and softly perfumed with excellent melding of vanillin and cedar oak aromatics and rich Barossa Shiraz fruit. This Charles Melton Father In Law Shiraz wine as an intense coffee and mocha flavours are supported by firm tannins and richness of mouthfeel.

This Charles Melton Shiraz wine is very rich and opulent with high quality fruit showing lovely voluptuousness, ripe yet defined tannis, moderate oakand terrifically poised balanced. The Charles Melton Nine Popes Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2016 wine is from Barossa Valley, South Australia.

The Charles Melton Shiraz 2006 wine has aromas of a typical pepper notes but nothing overpowering which was a joy to drink. Well integrated tannins and oak influences.
Charles Melton Wines has produced premium Barossa red wines, always at our winery on Krondorf Road, since 1984. It was in the mid 80’s that Charlie and a small band of Barossa winemakers turned their winemaking efforts to what was considered then a couple of unfashionable varieties; Shiraz and Grenache. With these varieties, Charlie built a small range of classic dry reds including a Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre blend called the Nine Popes.

The 2021 Chateau Tanunda Matthews Road Shiraz wine displays lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberry and white pepper supported by classic cool climate Shiraz characters of spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. Matthews Road Shiraz is known for its plush and elegant palate. The Chateau Tanunda S.238 Shiraz Cabernet wine displays lifted aromas of blackberry and blueberry accompanied by vibrant dark berry fruits on the palate . This S.238 Shiraz Cabernet wine has a long finish and with fine grain tannins from 18 months maturation in French Oak.

Chateau Tanunda is located in Barossa. Built in the late 1880s, Château Tanunda is home to some of the earliest plantings of vines in the Barossa Valley, dating back to the 1840s. Château Tanunda’s origins go back to the 1860s and the decimation of Europe’s vineyards by the phylloxera plague. Sensing opportunity in Europe’s pain, the three founders of Château Tanunda built a Bavarian-style Château dedicated to the production of fine quality wines.
