This Imperial Cabernet Sauvignon wine is showing both approachable fruit character now and the potential for cellaring through the presence of mature tannins and good acidity. The DiGiorgio Family Wines Lucindale vineyard produces distinctive minty and eucalypt characters in Cabernet Sauvignon and as the vineyard matures, excellent concentration and complexity.

    This 2005 Imperial Cabernet Sauvignon 6L wine by the Di Giorgio Family is a very regional depiction of Cabernet with its lifted currant, cassis and cedar aromas leading to a medium to full bodied palate with lots of dark fruit and cedary oak, long, firm tannin length and terrific texture.

    The 2019 Morambro Creek Shiraz wine has a deep inky black & purple in colour. The nose is perfumed with lifted mint, blueberry, vanilla and spice with a touch of liquorice and white pepper in the background. This Morambro Creek Shiraz wine has an expansive palate, smooth lush ripe blue-black fruits, nicely balanced oak, plenty of concentration with a long finish.

    The Morambro Creek wine is synonymous with premium wines from South Australia’s Padthaway wine region being awarded numerous medals in International and Australian Wine shows in recent years. The vineyards at Padthaway are in some of the world’s oldest mineral rich soils and in the most temperate of maritime climates. The Morambro Creek vineyard consistently produces excellent fruit quality from low yielding vines.

    The 2022 Dolcetto Rose wine by the Di Giorgio Family has a pale pink with salmon hues and lovely fragrant bouquet of delicate rose petals and juicy red apple. This Dolcetto Rose wine has a crisp palate of apple, cherries and pomegranate give a fresh, savoury finish.

    Dolcetto is a red wine grape variety grown widely in the country where the DiGiorgio family has it’s origins. Known for their black cherry and licorice characters it works wonderfully as a Rosé style of wine.

    This Dolcetto Rose forms part of the Di Giorgio Family Wines Renaissance range. The family sources specific varietal fruit from different areas of the Limestone Coast where they believe the terroir is best suited to the variety. These wines are a selection of varieties specially chosen to demonstrate the versatility of the region and the passion and ambition of our winemakers.

    The 2021 Chain of Ponds Corkscrew Road Chardonnay wine has an elegant nose displaying lifted primary fruits of peach, grapefruit, rock melon, nectarine and fig with secondary characters of subtle spicy oak and baked brioche. On the palate this Chardonnay wine displays balanced linear acidity and exceptional fruit length with balanced oak and a subtle creaminess on the finish.

Lifted sweet notes of vanilla and cashews. The Shiraz has a deep cherry red with slight purple/plum hue. The fruit is integrated with savoury spicy oak and a hint of vanilla. On the palate there is intense stone fruit characters of roasted peach, fresh nectarine with integrated fig and citrus notes.     Charles Melton Wines has produced premium Barossa red wines, always at our winery on Krondorf Road, since 1984. It was in the mid 80’s that Charlie and a small band of Barossa winemakers turned their winemaking efforts to what was considered then a couple of unfashionable varieties; Shiraz and Grenache. With these varieties, Charlie built a small range of classic dry reds including a Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre blend called the Nine Popes.

    Chateau Tanunda is located in Barossa. Now, thanks to the passion and dedication of its new owners, the Geber family, this iconic Barossa estate is celebrating a new lease of life. Built in the late 1880s, Château Tanunda is home to some of the earliest plantings of vines in the Barossa Valley, dating back to the 1840s. Château Tanunda’s origins go back to the 1860s and the decimation of Europe’s vineyards by the phylloxera plague. Sensing opportunity in Europe’s pain, the three founders of Château Tanunda built a Bavarian-style Château dedicated to the production of fine quality wines.
