This Casa Ferreirinha Callabriga 2015 has a deep ruby colour. This wine has an intense and complex aroma with floral notes, tropical fruit, black and red fruit, spices and a minerality that contains hints of wet shale. Wood of great quality is well-integrated and contributes to the aromatic complexity. On the palate, it has good volume, with excellent, rounded tannins and a fantastic acidity. Further aromas of red and tropical fruit come to the fore, along with floral notes and hints of cocoa, courtesy of an excellent maturation.

Casa Ferreirinha was the first Douro producer dedicated entirely to making table wines, rather than Port. Its origins date back to 1952 when Fernando Nicolau de Almeida produced the first ever vintage of Barca-Velha and kickstarted the quality revolution in Douro table wines. Named after the legendary Dona Antónia Ferreira, one of the formidable widows of the world of wine, Casa Ferreirinha pays homage to the memory of this visionary woman. Today, the winemaking team is headed up by Luís Sottomayor, who restrains the Douro’s natural exuberance to produce wines that have a vibrant freshness allied to a lovely texture and depth.

This Casa Ferreirinha Planalto Douro 2017 has a lemon yellow in colour with golden lights. On the nose, intense floral notes stand out with hints of tropical fruit and earthy, slightly shrubby tones. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a lively and well-integrated acidity, alongside floral notes and touches of white peaches. The finish is long and fragrant.

Portugal’s bestselling Douro white wine and it is easy to see why. Vinified from grapes grown at high altitude (Planalto translates to “High Plains”) to maintain freshness and delicacy in a hot arid region. A refreshing, mineral rich, citrus, and floral flavoured wine.

The Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda 2015 has a deep ruby in colour, this wine has complex and intense aromas of black fruits, with spicy hints of black pepper and cloves. There are balsamic hints and subtle menthol notes with very well-integrated oak. On the palate, it has fine tannins, with a well-developed acidity resulting in a long finish.

This vineyard in the Douro Superior is used as part of the blend for the legendary Barca Velha. In other years, it shows its qualities as a single-vineyard wine. The 2015 Quinta da Leda is a blend of 50% Touriga Franca, 20% Touriga Nacional and 15% each of Tinto Cão and Tinta Roriz, aged for 18 months in an equal mixture of new and used French oak.

The Casa Ferreirinha Vinha Grande 2016 has a deep ruby colour and intense aromas of flowers, strawberry and raspberry fruit, a touch of black pepper and well-integrated oak. The palate has well-integrated acidity, velvety tannins, a delicate minerality and notes of red berries. The finish is elegant and long.

Vinha Grande is the second oldest wine of the Douro Valley (behind Barca Velha) and its heritage is noticeable in every sip. The Casa Ferreirinha Vinha Grande 2016 ia a elegant, complex wine with the structure of a fine Bordeaux exhibiting flavours of blackcurrant, leather and subtle oak spice.

The Ferreira Branco has a yellow-straw hue and a fresh but intense aroma, with attractive floral and fruit tones. Soft and very well balanced in the mouth, it is a rich and full wine, with added complexity and nobility deriving from a careful ageing in wood.

The Ferreira Dona Antonia Reserva has a beautiful red colour, with intense tawny shades that recall its slow maturation in wood. Its bouquet is intense and rich with hints of very ripe fruit (plum, apricot and marmalade) and floral notes. Complex, its spice and nutty notes derive from the evolution in oak wood, through oxidation In the mouth, it is a full-bodied and rich-flavoured wine, extremely well balanced, that combines elegance with a delicate yet persistent finish.

The Ferreira Duque de Braganca 20 Years is from the Douro region of Portugal. This Fortified Wine is well balanced, complex and intense showing dried fruit and nuts.

The Ferreira LBV 2009 has a ripe dark fruit with a slightly candied aspect. Full bodied, sweet, quite robust and tannic, delivering tart dark fruit/berries with a touch of heat on the finish. This Fortified Wine is good basic LBV.

The Ferreira Quinta do Porto 10 Year Old has a deep tawny hue with red hints. Floral and spicy with ripe fruit aromas. In the mouth, the classic and fresh style of the Ferreira brand is conspicuous, achieving a fine balance between the difference sensations in the wine body and in the long finish in the mouth.

The Ferreira Ruby has an intense and well defined ruby hue. Its intense aromas is reminiscent of very ripe fruit. Full-bodied and rich, it has a fine balance between its sweetness and its tannin structure, giving it unique characteristics and a fine and attractive long finish.

The Ferreira Tawny has a beautiful red hue with fair hints of spices and dry fruit, acquired during the ageing in oak wood. In the mouth it is an elegant wine that shows a fine balance between mature tannins and sweetness, providing it with an attractive, long finish.

The Herdade Do Sobroso Reserva Tinto 2014 presents a full-bodied wine with deep red colour. It’s complex aroma presents traces of mature red berries, jam and chocolate offering an intense and prolonged aftertaste.

Herdade do Sobroso is located in Vidigueira in the Alentejo region. This is one of the oldest wine regions in Portugal. In the beautiful Alentejo, Herdade do Sobroso has a perfect location with its vineyards located on the banks of the Guadiana River and the Rio dos Patos river or the river of ducks.

The trademark is therefore the ducks on the labels. It is the perfect setting for the ripening of the grapes and few vineyards have this luxury and this partly explains why this winery can make very beautiful wines because there is never water debt. In addition to the fact that there is sufficient water, this region is the only one within the Alentejo that has an ocean influence that ensures a healthy ripening. This beautiful Herdade do Sobroso Reserva is a blend of the Alicante Boushet & Cabernet Sauvignon.

This Herdade Do Sobroso Tinto Barrique Select 2015 has a full-bodied wine with deep red colour. It’s complex aroma presents traces of mature red berries, jam and chocolate offering an intense and prolonged aftertaste.

The grapes were harvested by hand and transported to our winery, where the process of transformation was begun with vinification in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature and post-fermentation maceration of 21 days.

The Herdade Do Sobroso Tinto Cellar Selection 2014 is a full-bodied wine with a rich colour. Its fine aroma suggests very mature red fruits, cocoa and jam. The aftertaste is prolonged and elegant. In the mouth this red wine is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins.
