Description
Yarden Brut Rosé 2013 is a superb sparkling wine made in Israel according to the traditional method, “méthode champenoise”. It is made from a blend of chardonnay (71%) and pinot noir (29%) harvested from high-elevation vineyards on the northern Golan Heights. This sparkling wine was produced using traditional methods only, including hand harvesting, whole cluster pressing, and secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine aged for five years on the tirage yeast. Though ready to drink now, Yarden Rosé will age well for about a decade from harvest. The wine goes wonderfully with rich salty dishes such as charcuterie, delicate dishes such as tempura or tuna tartare, and desserts such as chocolate covered berries or strawberry soufflé.
