Description
The 2000 Chateau Lagrange wine has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, cedar and sandalwood aromas, touches of ash developing with time. This Chateau Lagrange wine is medium-bodied with firm and quite chunky tannins. This St-Julien wine has a juicy star anise notes and a swath of well-roasted apple wood add even more range on the finish.
A historical icon in Bordeaux’s Saint Julien sub region, there is ample evidence that prove that grapes have been planted in the vineyards of Chateau Lagrange as early as the middle ages. In recent history, the estate has been classified as a Third Growth and is renowned mainly for the masculinity and aging potential of their wines.
This 2000 Chateau Lagrange 3rd Grand Cru Classé wine is one of the Smart Buys, Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2003.
