The 2015 Beau-Sejour Becot wine has a very intense bouquet with copious black cherries, kirsch and blueberry fruit, just a slight warmth of alcohol but nothing too much to get concerned about. The palate is rounded and sexy on the entry, quite plush for this estate, rounded and caressing with a slight savory element from the Cabernets imparting more complexity on the finish. Maybe not the longest Saint-Émilion in terms of longevity but very delicious. The 2015 Beau-Sejour Becot is a blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Anticipated maturity: 2020 – 2040.
