The vineyard is planted on hillsides composed of gravel from the Garonne on a bed of gravel-clay limestone. The wine is aged in oak barrels (60% are new) for 16-18 months. Chateau Leoville Barton 2012 is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.Chateau Leoville Barton 2012 develops aromas of white flowers black fruits with notes of candied violets. The wine has an unforgettably long finish in the mouth.
