Chateau Tanunda Terroirs of Barossa Marananga Shiraz 2018

 1,998.00

The 2018 Chateau Tanunda Terroirs of Barossa Marananga Shiraz wine of the Barossa reflects the slate and granite soils with strong mineral notes, and fruit flavours of blackberry, morello cherry. This wine from Marananga is complex deeper notes of earth and cured meats bring the palate to a long and evenly weighted finish. It is a monster wine of power and persistence that begs to be cellared.

This 2018 Terroirs of Barossa Marananga Shiraz wine has a deep, dark red purple colour with a gun-flinty, machine-oil overtone to the bouquet. There are black fruit aromas beneath. The palate is very complex and layered, with smoky, briary, black olive and graphite nuances that follow throughout the palate. The tannins are firm and compact and beautifully balanced to add structure and contribute to length. This Chateau Tanunda Terroirs is a ripping wine. Drinking Well: 2020–2035

Marananga, centred in the North West quadrant of the Barossa provides some of the Valley’s most powerful wines. The red brown clay loam soils with schists and siltstone yield flavours of jam and fruitcake, cardamom, blueberry fruits, cocoa powder with an undercurrent of roasted meats and crackling.
