This 2014 Federico Paternina Reserva wine has a lovely nose with vanilla, blackberries and even a hint of smoke. I also get some raspberries, milk chocolate, cherry and prunes. You can tell the oak influence from the maturation in this release, even though the wine is still fresh. Cranberries, plums and almonds complete the palate which even has some pepper from the wood spices. It’s lovely balanced and complex.
