The 2018 Odfjell Orzada Cabernet Sauvignon has deep black-fruit aromas are saturated and poised. On the palate, this is a bit jammy and pulpy but it delivers. This Cabernet Sauvignon wine has extracted flavors of blackberry, coffee and blackened oak finish with depth and lushness.
The project of Norwegian ship merchant Dan Odfjell, Odfjell Estate is a result of a family endeavor combining a passion for wine and horses which ultimately led them to invest in Chile. The wines are handled by French winemaker Arnaud Hereu and their focus is on mainly red wines from their Maipo Valley Estate, Old Vine Malbec from Lontue in Curico, and Old Vine Carignan from Maule. The winery is tucked into the hillsides of their Maipo vineyards and works on a gravity system with a portion of the winery submerged underground. The vineyards are managed biodynamically & organically using sustainable farming techniques.
