The 2020 Sensi Toscana Rosso Governato IGT wine features deep ruby red in colour. This Sensi Toscana Rosso Governato IGT has opening notes of sweet fruit, cherry and marasca cherry, fruits of the forest jam and floral hints. It is soft and fresh on the palate, with a natural sweetness and maturity that are the specific qualities of the Governo Toscano technique used to make it.

This Governato Toscana Igt is a red wine produced using carefully selected grapes manually harvested and dried under constant supervision and through a practice consisting of a slow refermentation of the wine just drawn off along with slightly dried grapes. This technique, called “governo” according to the Tuscan tradition, dates back to about 1800 and it consists of drying the best grapes on special supports.

This 2020 Sensi Toscana Rosso Governato IGT wine has a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino. For aging some matures in large barrels for about 6 months, a
part matures in steel with micro-oxygenation and a small part matures in terracotta. Alcohol 14.5 % vol.

This Italian red wine is best paired with red meat, risotto, baked pasta dishes with meat-based sauces.
