Description
The Opportunist Shiraz from Langhorne Creek in South Australia has an aromatic bouquet of ripe fruits, cherries and blackcurrants, with notes of freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, peppermint, liquorice and subtle pepper. The wine has rich silky palate with creamy black fruits and a little savoury smokiness from oak.
Fruit for the Opportunist Shiraz comes from three separate blocks of the same vineyard in the Langhorne Creek. Winemaking for this wine is simple with fermentation in tanks followed by eight months on oak to increase texture and varietal expression. It is aged in used French oak barrels for eight months
