The Chateau Rieussec 2015 is refreshingly fresh for a Sauternes. Quince and only marginally candid fruit, spicy, green gooseberry and fresh garrigue, green herbs and some chemical petrol notes. Creamy, viscous palate with lots of freshness. A lot of tension and intnesity. A great Sauternes with lots of potential so my suggestion is to resist the temptation of popping a bottle. Ended up losing in a direct face-off against Lafaury-Peyraguey 96 which has aged incredibly well.
