The Swartland Winery is situated about 70km north of Cape Town and 3km outside the town of Malmesbury on the road to Paarl. In the heart of the Swartland the winery harvests its grapes from wine farms spread out on the hills around Malmesbury. The vineyards benefit from the constant cool breezes that blow off the Atlantic Ocean, effectively sustaining the many microclimates, while the proximity to mountain ranges adds its own dimension to the physical character of the grape berry.

The Tapas Viura Sauvignon Blanc wine by Marques de la Concordia has yellow with greenish hues. On the nose it is floral showing tropical fruits. This Spanish Sauvignon Blanc wine has a crisp and fresh with a pleasant finish.

The Tavernello Organic Trebbiano Chardonnay Rubicone wine has citrus and green apple aromas, flavours of gooseberry, apple and exotic peaches make it the ideal accompaniment to veg-based pasta or roast chicken.

The Tavernello Sangiovese Rubicone 2020 wine has intense ruby colour with delicate scents of violets on the nose. This Sangiovese wine is dry and well-balanced on the pale with soft tannins.

The Tavernello Trebbiano Chardonnay Rubicone 2020 has a pale yellow in colour with fresh attractive fruit nose, it slips down a little too easily and requires that the bottle be both chilled and nearby for easy refills. White fruits blend nicely with touches of citrus and a very decent acidity that is perfect for cheeseboards, light soups, seafood etc.

This crisp white wine has fresh floral aromas and is pleasantly fruity on the palate. This Tavernello Vino Bianco d’Italia wines best served chilled, between 10-12 °C.
