    The 2020 Finca Villacreces Pruno wine has a deep, black cherry color. Aromas of red fruit embodied with toffee oaky hints from the aging in French barrel revealing a sweety and fruity wine on the mouth. Reminiscences of ripen fruit and licorice. This Finca Villacreces Pruno wine offers a pleasant and soft aftertaste.

    The blend is mostly Tempranillo with 9% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented for three weeks and matured in French barrels for 11 months. It’s clean and quite fruit-driven, approachable and juicy, with integrated oak. Very pleasant, with very good freshness.

    The 2012 Foppiano Estate Petite Syrah has dried blackberry, sweet cinnamon, coco powder and a hint of sage show in the aromas. This Syrah wine progresses over the palate with dark espresso, raspberry jam, dark chocolate covered blueberries and finishing with perfectly integrated oak spice. Concentrated fruit, balanced acidity and mature tannins will allow this wine to age for 10+ years.

    Located just south of the town of Healdsburg, Foppiano vineyards sits on 160 acres in the acclaimed appellation of the Russian River Valley. Cool morning fog and warm summer days create an ideal microclimate for grape growing. The Foppiano family has been producing world class fruit on this land since its purchase in 1896.     This 2017 Foppiano Northern Edge Cabernet Sauvignon wine has aromas of cassis, red raspberry, and blackberry syrup are balanced with French oak tones of spice, dried herbs and vanilla. On the palate, one can find black current, root-beer, and a touch of lavender. Black plum, more dried herbs and cocoa linger in the finish with tannins, which set up this “last pick” wine for ageing of up to 10 years.

    The vineyard that this wine comes from is one of the oldest on the Estate. Planted in 1985 using the traditional head trained viticulture of historic California vineyards. It showcases the final vintage of “Block 5” which could be seen from the tasting room and was removed this past year.

    The 2017 Gamla Syrah is produced exclusively from Syrah fruit harvested from vineyards in the cool Golan Heights growing region. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is ready to drink upon release, and should remain in excellent drinking shape for about five to seven years from vintage.

    The Galilee (or Galil) is the most northern, and generally considered the best, appellation in Israel. The highest quality area within the appellation is the Golan Heights (or simply the Golan), the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) and receive snowfall in the winter. Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin in the central Golan.
