    The 2020 Gamla Pinot Noir wine was produced from Pinot Noir grapes harvested entirely from vineyards in the cool northern Golan Heights. The red wine was aged in French oak barrels for seven months.

    The 2017 Gamla Syrah is produced exclusively from Syrah fruit harvested from vineyards in the cool Golan Heights growing region. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is ready to drink upon release, and should remain in excellent drinking shape for about five to seven years from vintage.

    The wine pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb chops, smoky spiced porterhouse steaks, or fried tofu with spicy peanut sauce.

This flavorful dessert wine is lightly sparkling, pleasantly sweet and wonderfully drinkable.

While ready to drink now, the wine will continue to develop for a number of years in the bottle, and should stay in great drinking condition for five to seven years from harvest. The realtively cool climate and rocky volcanic soils are proving to be hospitable conditions for this classic variety. Eighteen months of barrel aging helps this wine to reach its full potential.

    Golan Heights Winery Yarden Petit Verdot wine has a deep purple-red color. The aromas of ripe red and black fruits rounded with red flowers and fresh herbs complement the tones of freshly roasted coffee, chocolate and the subtle nuances of vanilla. The body is full and well structured, the texture is alive. The acid beautifully rounds up the high extract and gives the impression of even higher fullness and freshness. The finish is fruity and persistent.
