    The Grenache is Australia’s signature grape variety and we’re slightly obsessed with it. Utilising a range of premium vineyards across South Australia, we’ve crafted a wine that captures all that is good about Grenache. Aromatic, deceptively light but with beautiful wild fruit, and slurpy, supple tannins.

    This 2022 Thistledown Great Escape Chardonnay wine is our benchmark, cool climate Chardonnay produced from fruit grown in elevated vineyard sites which allow for a long ripening period which helps to maintain the natural sugar and acid balance of the grape. With moderate alcohol, focussed, crisp citrus fruit and a mouthwatering finish, this is an accomplished, truly modern style of this noble variety.

    The 2020 Tyrrell’s Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied wine. This Cabernet Sauvignon has classic lifted dark cherry and blackberry aromas with hints of violets and olive tapenade. The palate is vibrant and fresh showing off dark fruits and herbaceous varietal notes with silky tannins and a bright natural balance. The Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon wine is refined yet well constructured tannins with a sturdy medium length conclusion.

    The grapes for our Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River in Western Australia, Australia’s pre-eminent Cabernet Sauvignon region. This varietal has a real affinity for the soils and weather conditions in Margaret River. The fruit was picked in the cool of night and processed without crushing the berries, this reduces the extraction of overt tannin in flavour of more fruit freshness and vibrancy. Maturation took place in older French oak (10 months), ideal when trying to highlight the fruits vibrancy and structure.

    The 2021 Tyrrell’s Beside Broke Road Pinot Gris wine is a classic cool climate style showing lifted citrus notes with a hint of pear and ginger. The palate continues these citrus and pear flavours but has lovely fine grained texture and soft acid finish which is a hallmark of Pinot Gris.

    The grapes were sourced from King Valley, a cool climate high altitude region in Victoria. The fruit was harvested in the very early hours of the morning when the fruit is at its coolest, the grapes were lightly pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. The Australian White Wine spent some extended time on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and texture.

The palate is well balanced between its vibrant citrus profile and a hint of grassy notes, with a crisp, refreshing acid profile. The Beside Broke Road Sauvignon Blanc wine from Margaret River is light, refreshing.

    The grapes were sourced from Margaret River, which is located in the far south-west corner of Western Australia, and is one of the most geographically isolated wine regions in the world. Taking advantage of the maritime influence the fruit is harvested in the early hours of the morning it is at its coolest, then the grapes were lightly pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks to maintain the freshness of the tropical fruit flavours.

    The 2019 Tyrrell’s Beside Broke Road Heathcote Shiraz wine is a bright fresh example of varietal and regional character. This Beside Broke Road Heathcote Shiraz wine has a core of dark plum, mulberry and chocolate balanced by fresh subtle pepper spice and flinty mineral notes. The palate has the soft rich feel of a medium to full bodied shiraz but with a vibrant fruit line that helps keep the wine lively and supple.

    The grapes for our Beside Broke Road Shiraz from Heathcote in central Victoria, a dry central Victorian climate with cool nights and warm days which make this region one of the best sites for growing shiraz in Australia. The fruit was picked in the cool of the night and transported to our Hunter Valley winery without crushing the berries. This reduces the extraction of overt tannin in favour of more fruit freshness and vibrancy. After fermentation the maturation has been in older French oak barriques in the Tyrrell’s barrel shed which softened the wine without adding oak flavour.

This 2022 Hunter Valley Semillon wine is vibrant with an abundance of citrus fruits and floral elements. The palate is medium bodied, yet intense, with great length and a brisk acidity.     From one of the most historic wineries in Australia comes one of the country’s most unique wines: The lightning bolt of acidity that is Hunter Valley Sémillon. The Hunter Valley, north of Sydney, is Australia’s oldest wine region, and Sémillon, brought to the region in 1832 by the “father of Australian viticulture,” James Busby, has long been its best-kept secret.

    The Hunter Valley range is quintessential Tyrrell’s and quintessential Hunter. This range showcases the Hunter’s tried-and-tested varieties: Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. All of the wines are made to the same high standards and in the same style as our flagship Winemaker’s Selection Vat 1 Semillon, Vat 47 Chardonnay and Vat 9 Shiraz.

    The 2021 Tyrrell’s Hunter Valley Shiraz wine has a vibrant purple colour, with a lifted nose showing bright red fruits and confectionary spice. This Australian Shiraz wine has a medium bodied with good depth of flavour yet still lively and fresh. Soft, savoury tannins and a crunchy acidity adds to the wines complexity. This Hunter Valley Shiraz is a wonderful example of the modern, medium bodied Hunter Valley Shiraz wine.

    The Hunter Valley Shiraz was made from grapes grown on some of the top blocks on the Tyrrell’s estate and surrounding area, which have an average vine age of 40 years and are mostly dry grown. The 2019 vintage was the third great vintage in a row for the Hunter Valley, the product of another hot, dry summer. The Hunter Valley range is quintessential Tyrrell’s and quintessential Hunter.

    This range showcases the Hunter’s tried-and-tested varieties: Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. All of the wines are made to the same high standards and in the same style as our flagship Winemaker’s Selection Vat 1 Semillon, Vat 47 Chardonnay and Vat 9 Shiraz.

    The Tyrrell’s Moore’s Creek Chardonnay wine has a straw yellow with greenish tints. This Australian white wine has an elegant fruity aroma of wine tempts hints of ripe peach and other stone fruits. This Chardonnay is well balanced, elegant fruit flavors with a fairly pronounced acidity and hints of citrus and oak tones on the palate. This Chardonnay wine ends expressive and fresh finish.

    The Tyrrell’s Moore’s Creek Chardonnay grapes were harvested at different times during the picking season. Some were harvested early to retain clean, fresh acid characteristics; the remainder were harvested later in the season at optimum ripeness to create a rich full bodied flavour.

    The range of wines “Moore’s Creek” is named after a small river, which originates in the hills Brokenback Range and flows through the winery HVD (Hunter Valley Distillery) and vineyards Penfoldvale. In line includes both red and white wines with an optimal ratio “price-quality”. This series was designed to meet the most popular taste demands of consumers, to complement the vast array of culinary combinations and to delight true fans of wine.

    The 2022 Tyrrell’s Moore’s Creek Chardonnay is best served chilled, this wine is the perfect complement of dishes from poultry, fish, seafood, fresh salads, non-sharp cheeses.
