Description
The 2016 Chateau Tour Pibran wine has a very classic notes of cassis, tobacco leaf, lead pencil shavings, and spice. This Second label of Chateau Pibran has a medium to full-bodied, elegant red wine that has fine tannin, nicely integrated acidity, and top-notch purity of fruit. The 2016 Chateau Pibran wine is a beautiful Pauillac that does well in a vintage which can be erratic for this appellation. This is a great value Chateau Pibran wine and should keep for 15-20 years.
The name Pibran has a long association with premium Bordeaux wines. Originaly the esate was only 10ha in the Pauillac region, in 2001 they expanded the vineyards and now cover over 17ha. This red wine is made in the state of the art winery of Pichon Baron and then matured in Chateau Pibran.
The 2016 Chateau Tour Pibran wine is a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.
