    The 2021 Exhibitionist Merlot by Wild & Wilder wine has a deep garnet red color. This Exhibitionist Merlot wine has a full of rich plum and damson fruit on the nose. Oak used is unobtrusive on the palate which is dominated by rich red berry flavours while also presenting subtle earthy nuances. The Exhibitionist Merlot by Wild & Wilder is elegant and silky with a long finish.

    The Barossa Valley is rightly famed for its red wine production. On the Southern reaches of the region, the climate has more similarities with the Adelaide Hills than the valley floor. Here, varieties such as Merlot thrive in the slightly cooler temperatures. Planted on rich red loams with quartz and ironstone nuggets dotted amongst the vines which lend a structure and minerality to the wines produced.

    The Opportunist Shiraz wine by Wild & Wilder has a crimson red color. This Opportunist Shiraz wine has an aromatic bouquet of ripe fruits, cherries and blackcurrants, with notes of freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, peppermint, liquorice and subtle pepper. This Australian Red Wine has rich silky palate with creamy black fruits and a little savoury smokiness from oak.

    The fruit for the 2021 Opportunist Shiraz wine comes from three separate blocks of the same vineyard in the Langhorne Creek. Winemaking for this wine is simple with fermentation in tanks followed by eight months on oak to increase texture and varietal expression. It is aged in used French oak barrels for eight months.

    The Pugilist Cabernet Sauvignon wine by Wild & Wilder shows an array of perfumed characters such as violets, oregano & thyme, along with glacé cherry aromas. This Australian Red Wine is sweet ripe cherry fruit dominates the front palate which then develops into a more savoury wine, showing earthiness, toasted spices and lovely dried herb characters. The Pugilist Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Langhorne Creek has Medium-weight, translucent crimson colour.

    This 2021 Pugilist Cabernet Sauvignon wine is sourced from two vineyard sites in Langhorne Creek, both of which are above the flood plain. Soils are of sandy loam with some iron rich red soils. Both vineyards are trellised and spur pruned to produce low yields which ensure balance and flavour. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks the wine spends 10 months in French oak barrels.

The Wild Ones Shiraz Cabernet wine is elegant, refined and a just a little bit mischievous. Beautiful wines, larger than life characters all in one gregarious package.

    The fruit for the Wild Ones is picked on the way up to ripeness rather than on the way down. This way we achieve freshness and energy but not at the expense of flavour. We retain as many whole berries as possible to increase vibrancy and succulence. Winemaking is simple and is followed by 8 months on oak to increase texture and varietal expression.

    The 2021 Cunning Plan Shiraz has great depth of ripe plum and blackberry fruit flavours. A full bodied Shiraz wine with a succulent palate, lively spices and fine velvety tannins.

    The beautiful region of McLaren Vale is bounded by the Gulf to the West and the various ranges to the East and North. Geologically one of the most diverse regions on earth, it has long been the home to some of Australia’s finest expressions of Shiraz. Our fruit comes from the Moray Park vineyard in the McLaren Flat sub-region. Low yielding and ultra-intense, we handle the fruit gently to capture the delicious berry fruit character, overlaid with subtle wood-spice.

    The 2020 Tyrrell’s Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied wine. This Cabernet Sauvignon has classic lifted dark cherry and blackberry aromas with hints of violets and olive tapenade. The palate is vibrant and fresh showing off dark fruits and herbaceous varietal notes with silky tannins and a bright natural balance. The Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon wine is refined yet well constructured tannins with a sturdy medium length conclusion.

    The grapes for our Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River in Western Australia, Australia’s pre-eminent Cabernet Sauvignon region. This varietal has a real affinity for the soils and weather conditions in Margaret River. The fruit was picked in the cool of night and processed without crushing the berries, this reduces the extraction of overt tannin in flavour of more fruit freshness and vibrancy. Maturation took place in older French oak (10 months), ideal when trying to highlight the fruits vibrancy and structure.

    The 2019 Tyrrell’s Beside Broke Road Heathcote Shiraz wine is a bright fresh example of varietal and regional character. This Beside Broke Road Heathcote Shiraz wine has a core of dark plum, mulberry and chocolate balanced by fresh subtle pepper spice and flinty mineral notes. The palate has the soft rich feel of a medium to full bodied shiraz but with a vibrant fruit line that helps keep the wine lively and supple.

    The grapes for our Beside Broke Road Shiraz from Heathcote in central Victoria, a dry central Victorian climate with cool nights and warm days which make this region one of the best sites for growing shiraz in Australia. The fruit was picked in the cool of the night and transported to our Hunter Valley winery without crushing the berries. This reduces the extraction of overt tannin in favour of more fruit freshness and vibrancy. After fermentation the maturation has been in older French oak barriques in the Tyrrell’s barrel shed which softened the wine without adding oak flavour.

    The 2021 Tyrrell’s Hunter Valley Shiraz wine has a vibrant purple colour, with a lifted nose showing bright red fruits and confectionary spice. This Australian Shiraz wine has a medium bodied with good depth of flavour yet still lively and fresh. Soft, savoury tannins and a crunchy acidity adds to the wines complexity. This Hunter Valley Shiraz is a wonderful example of the modern, medium bodied Hunter Valley Shiraz wine.

    The Hunter Valley Shiraz was made from grapes grown on some of the top blocks on the Tyrrell’s estate and surrounding area, which have an average vine age of 40 years and are mostly dry grown. The 2019 vintage was the third great vintage in a row for the Hunter Valley, the product of another hot, dry summer. The Hunter Valley range is quintessential Tyrrell’s and quintessential Hunter.

    This range showcases the Hunter’s tried-and-tested varieties: Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. All of the wines are made to the same high standards and in the same style as our flagship Winemaker’s Selection Vat 1 Semillon, Vat 47 Chardonnay and Vat 9 Shiraz.
