The 2018 Chateau Gloria wine has a deep garnet purple colored. Aromatic black fruit, finely scented without excess sweetness or ripeness. This Chateau Gloria wine is full-bodied with a firm texture of ripe, grainy tannins. This 2018 vintage presents a beautiful purple-garnet color. The aromatic bouquet opens with beautiful notes of black berries, cassis and spice.

This French red wine has notes of cedar, a signature of the great wines of Pauillac, and pencil lead appear when the wine is swirled in the glass. On the palate, the wine rolls out a beautiful texture, a powerful structure with dense tannins and slight woody notes, while maintaining a great freshness in the mouth. A very nice 2018 vintage for Chateau Grand-Puy Ducasse, which will blossom fully by 2024-2038.

A beautiful Pauillac, the 2018 Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste has a classic nose of ripe blackcurrants, scorched earth, cedarwood, and tobacco. This Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste wine carries to a medium to full-bodied 2018 offering wonderful balance, ripe, polished tannins, and gorgeous purity of fruit. A Red wine that grows on you with time in the glass, it has building mid-palate depth and tannins, again, terrific balance, remarkable purity of fruit, and outstanding length on the finish.

One of the most classic wines in the Left Bank in 2018, this Grand Puy Lacoste is super-impressive right out of the gate. Ultimately a wine of tremendous class that remains restrained and aristocratic in breeding. This wine has an enticing, dark and very intense, ruby colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe black fruit and cassis complemented by spicy notes with great freshness. The palate is precise and dense, evolving into charming and well rounded tannins with good length and structure. The overall impression is one of purity and elegance. This 2014 is once again a beautiful expression of the potential held by the terroir of Grand-Puy-Lacoste, this wine will be part of the great lineage of Grand-Puy-Lacoste vintages.

The 2016 Chateau Haut Bages Liberal wine has turned out beautifully. Rose petals, lavender and sweet red cherry are some of the notes that grace this fine, translucent Pauillac wine. This Chateau Haut Bages Liberal wine has a medium in body and precise, with exquisite finesse and nuance, the 2016 is incredibly expressive today. This 2016 Chateau Haut-Bages Libéral is a fabulous showing from proprietor Claire Villars Lurton. You would not describe this as a potentially exciting Pauillac, but I suspect it will be delicious once in bottle. Drink this wine from 2025.

The 2015 Chateau Haut Batailley wine has a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, matured in 60% new oak. It was picked between 21 September until 2 October. It is a level up from the 2015 Lacoste Borie with much more fruit intensity: blackberry, boysenberry, tobacco and cedar aromas. It gathers momentum in the glass and develops a subtle mint accent. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, lithe tannin, very well balanced with just a slight tinniness that will disappear by the time in bottle. With very good substance and impressive length, this is a classic Pauillac that I suspect will offer 25 or 30 years of pleasure.

A big, powerful wine, the 2012 Chateau Haut Brion possesses stunning richness and intensity. This Chateau Haut Brion from Pessac-Léognan possesses remarkable depth and tons of raw, animal power that is going to require considerable time in bottle to soften. This Chateau Haut Brion wine is certainly one of the candidates for the wine of the vintage, with a dense purple color, classic nose of crushed rock, lead pencil shavings, black raspberry, blueberry and flowers. This is a Cellar Selection which is a powerful wine will need many years.

Chateau Haut Brion is Bordeaux oldest Grands Crus, with a wine making history dating back to the 5th century. From only 46% of the production, this is an absolutely remarkable effort from the Dillon family and their winemaking team of the two Jean-Philippes.

This 2012 Chateau Haut Brion wine has a blend of 65% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc.

One of the hidden jewels of the vintage, the 2018 Chateau Haut Marbuzet wine is absolutely gorgeous. Pliant and deep in the glass, with terrific persistence, this 2018 Chateau Haut Marbuzet has so much to offer. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, dried flowers and mint add layers of nuance, but it is the wine’s balance that is most impressive. The palate is full-bodied, firm, rich and spicy, finishing long. In 2018 Haut Marbuzet has an extra kick of flavor intensity.

The Chateau Haut-Brion 2007 has a perfumed bouquet with abundant red fruit, sage, sandalwood and black olive scents that just seem to soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, beautifully judged acidity and a gentle build in the mouth towards the savory/meaty finish. There is class interwoven into this Haut Brion from start to finish, and the persistence is very impressive.
