The 2021 Yarden Hermon Moscato from Golan Heights Winery was produced from Muscat Canelli grapes grown entirely in the cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude of the Golan Heights. This Yarden Chardonnay is made exclusively from grapes harvested from vineyards at elevations up to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) in the northern Golan Heights, Israel’s coldest winegrowing region. Over the years, the northern Golan has become recognized for producing Chardonnay fruit of remarkable quality. The wine aged in French oak barrels, of which some 40% were new, for seven months.

Vinification: The hand-picked grapes were crushed carefully and the must partly fermented with indigenous yeasts.
