The 2018 Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon wine features attractive fruit characters of ripe cherries, plums and raspberries, intermingling with complex notes of earth and herb, all with a background of elegant French oak. With pleasantly opulent body and a lingering finish, this is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon. The Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes harvested from a number of our finest Cabernet vineyards in the Golan Heights Winery. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new.

The 2017 Yarden Chardonnay is from the Golan Heights Winery. This white wine shows off aromatic lemon, pear and pineapple fruit notes, layered with nuances of flowers, mineral and French oak. This balanced full-bodied wine exhibits nice acidity and a lingering finish. While ready to drink now, the wine will continue to develop for a number of years in the bottle, and should stay in great drinking condition for five to seven years from harvest. Yarden Chardonnay goes wonderfully with roasted chicken with hazelnuts, pan-seared halibut fillets, smoked salmon mousse canapés, or fettuccine with wild-mushroom sauce.

Yarden Chardonnay is made exclusively from grapes harvested from vineyards at elevations up to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) in the northern Golan Heights, Israel’s coldest winegrowing region. The Yarden Petit Verdot was produced from Petit Verdot grapes grown in the central and Northern Golan Heights. The realtively cool climate and rocky volcanic soils are proving to be hospitable conditions for this classic variety. Eighteen months of barrel aging helps this wine to reach its full potential.
